COMPOSER — PIANIST — SOUND DESIGNER

     Born in central Maryland, Derek has been composing and writing music for most of his life. He produces music in a wide range of genres, including orchestral soundtracks, world music ensembles, solo piano works, and electronic sets. Though he first started writing for piano at a young age, he now specializes in composing for orchestra and ethnic instruments. He has also performed at many venues in the United States, Europe, and Africa. Derek has a Bachelor of Music in Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.
